David Noah, "Sailors"
Athens photographer David Noah works in the tradition of street photography but regards photographs as fragments of fairy tales, as dream signatures, as signposts to the personal and collective id. His digital images are, for the most part, monochrome. He has lived and worked in Athens for thirty years and has shown his photos in a number of juried exhibits there. He has a background in art education and is active in the Athens poetry community.
In conjunction with the emphasis on photography, Fred will exhibit new drawings made from photographs taken at the Hunter Museum of Art in Chattanooga. Additional information can be found on our Facebook page.
Mattie Fay is a house gallery in the East Lake neighborhood of Atlanta. We host regular show featuring innovative local and regional artists in a cozy atmosphere. Run by Jami and Fred Wise, a writer and artist, the gallery named after Fred's grandmother, a beautiful and creative person who was one of his earliest champions.
