Seascapes
We are pleased to offer a beautiful, original method for presenting Fred's buoyant, free-form seascapes. We wanted a technique that would make the art easy to hang and accessible (not behind glass), yet protect the fragile materials.
We chose to mount the art on bevel-cut, archival quality mat board, then affix it to a light basswood panel. Conservation quality materials are used to ensure the work will not yellow over time, and watercolors are sealed with matte or satin fixative to protect against dust and moisture. The final product brings out the color of the paint and the texture of the paper - Arches acid-free watercolor, which Fred hand-tears to create a unique edging for each work. The result is a piece of fine art you can enjoy for years to come.
